Yeaya… Welcome to the official BATTLE TRACK 2000 website, brought to you by Intellek Records International. The premise of this site is to bring forth the true innovative talents of Hip Hop, and to wake up those that brought shame to the industry. Hip Hop began as a true art form, but in its recent years, has been transformed into a multimillion dollar enterprise, where musically inclined skills have become secondary to flashy images and record sales. Hip Hop is now segregated into two categories; The Realness and The Fakeness. At this fork in the road, many emcees turned away from the light, and joined the forces of misrepresentation. It’s now time for the genuine supporters of Hip Hop, the brothers and sisters who have a passion for the music, the emcees and dj’s who grew up with the beats and rhymes, and for the youth that will be influenced by us…

The BATTLE TRACK 2000 was inspired by a beef that had arisen in 1999 following a freestyle session. Two clearly untalented, vertically challenged individuals entered the cypher falsely posing as emcees. After the first couple of lines they blurted, it was obvious that we were up against a couple misfits far under our level of achievement. Realizing this, we decided to toy around with them, mocking there every word, and even at one point, turning one against the other. The contents of their freestyle became so ignorant and repulsive, that we lost all inclinations to continue. A couple of weeks later, a rumor was publicized, claiming that we had been disgracefully trounced. Confidently knowing that this was not and could never occur, especially at the hands of these two, we laughed in the face of the gossip. These kids had delusions of grander, and so, Rhayne & Curius once again combined in a lyrical thunderstorm! Its the BATTLE TRACK 2000 kid!

Ren & Rational Reason, we dedicate the BATTLE TRACK 2000 to you… Your pathetic attempts at lyricism has inspired us to put this project together. Your days of rumoring your victory have ended, the BATTLE TRACK 2000 is here!
